Many warm and heartfelt greetings to all of the folks with whom I have some
very interesting reparte here.

Just a note to let you know that I was appointed Junior Grand Deacon of the
GL of Massachusetts (the 3rd oldest Grand Lodge in the world) this last
December. It has been an interesting ride.

Cheers,

Congratulations, Bro. Russ. I just went to your Grand Lodge web site
and see that you are still listed as Worshipful, doesn't the RW
designation become automatic once you become a grand lodge officer in
Massachusetts?

Thank you brother George.

Actually no, I am not entitled to the RW title. At our GL that begins at
Junior Grand Warden (or Deputy Grand Master). I believe that the Junior and
Senior or Grand Wardens have been DDGM's previously, though I don't know if
it's a requirement for their office or it is acquired and; I believe the
Deputy Grand Master can be, but does not have to have been a DDGM, but does
garner the honorific of RW upon his appointment.

Anyway, they're a decent group of guys regardless of their honorifics (as
you might imagine).

Thanks again,

Russ

Not for the appointed line officers.
